From the chapter: Units, Dimensions and Error Analysis

Which of the following does NOT have the dimensions [M L² T⁻²]?

Show the answer and why

Answer: C.

Power is energy per unit time, so it is [M L² T⁻³] — one extra power of T⁻¹. Torque, work and heat all share [M L² T⁻²]. Note that torque and work having identical dimensions while being physically different (a vector and a scalar) is exactly why dimensional analysis can never prove a formula correct.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How can I do JEE preparation online?

Start with the syllabus, chapter by chapter: the 57 JEE chapters here are in English and Hindi, each with a quiz, and the first one is free to read. Then practise previous-year questions and take full mock tests in the real exam pattern, and revise your weak areas from the analytics.

What mock tests does the JEE course have?

3 full-length mock papers, one for each paper in its real pattern: JEE Main — Paper 1 (B.E./B.Tech) (75 questions, 300 marks, 180 minutes, a quarter of a question's marks off for a wrong answer); JEE (Advanced) — Paper 1 (48 questions, 180 marks, 180 minutes, marking printed per section — a wrong answer costs 1 mark in some sections and nothing in others); JEE (Advanced) — Paper 2 (54 questions, 180 marks, 180 minutes, marking printed per section — a wrong answer costs 1 mark in some sections and nothing in others). Each is timed and marked the way the real paper is.

How much does JEE preparation cost here?

The first chapter is free. Basic is ₹29/month: every chapter, 4 mock tests and 150 previous-year questions a month, with the question bank, revision and analytics. Premium is ₹399 once (your first month included), then the same ₹29/month: unlimited mocks and PYQs, and the AI mentor, answer-writing evaluation and interview practice. Prices include GST.

Is the material available in Hindi?

Yes — every chapter, every question and every explanation exists in both English and Hindi, written in parallel rather than machine-translated. Switch language once and the whole course follows.
